Greeting everyone. We had the bulletin ready to go to the printer the day after our March stated meeting, but we had a feeling that all the events we had planned for were going to be impacted by the coronavirus. Sure enough, on Monday the 16th the Grand Master ordered all Masonic lodges to cancel all meetings and events until May 10, 2020. We are certainly disappointed, however, by quarantining we can limit the number of folks who come into contact with this virus therefore lessening the number who could catch and perhaps be harmed as a result. We hope that your efforts to selfquarantine are going well and that you have stocked up but not gone overboard on all the necessary items you need to keep yourselves adequately fed and entertained. We have decided here on the home front to collect only the most necessary items and as a result we must have a hundred bags of potato chips plus dip, 42 cases of end of the world coca cola, enough Snicker bars to choke an elephant, 32 boxes of beef jerky and all the ingredients necessary to make smores for the next two years.
Anyway, the FC Degree on March 6 was a good time. Everyone performed their parts well and the candidate received a very good degree. The Grand Masters One Day Class is still scheduled for June 6, if you have a candidate in mind for this let us know.
Please keep the following members or family in your thoughts and prayers; WB Joe Ballenger, WB Bobby Barber, WB John C. Parker, WB Young Jack Kelley’s Wife Lisa, WB Robert Duerler, WB Donnie Banks on the loss of his sister and Brother Ed Galt’s step son who was injured in a vehicle crash. We are sorry to announce the passing of Brother Jack Kimmey and thanks to those who came out to the funeral to say goodbye to Brother Jack, who was a 64-year Mason.
Remember, you can find dates and times online at www.norwoodlodge576.com. Once this quarantine is over and we get back to work come down and see us. We will have so much to do and it would be nice to share the time with you. Bye for now.
